CW-15 Hydraulic Oil

Most hydraulic systems on a rig share one thing in common — they need fluid that works across a wide temperature window without thinning out in the heat or turning sluggish in the cold. CW-15 is an all-purpose hydraulic fluid formulated for exactly that kind of service.

It runs through tong torque systems, mud pump hydraulics, and wireline weight indicator systems. One fluid across multiple systems, which simplifies inventory and cuts down on mix-ups at the wellsite. The operating range stretches from -60°F to 170°F (-51°C to 77°C), so it performs whether the rig is in a Gulf desert or a North Sea winter.

Applications

CW-15 goes into most M/D type equipment on the rig floor and surrounding operations. Tong torque systems rely on it for consistent clamping force. Mud pump hydraulic circuits use it where auxiliary hydraulic power is needed. Wireline weight indicator systems need a fluid that responds accurately to load changes — CW-15 delivers that without the viscosity fluctuations that cause erratic readings. The one exception is radius indicators, which require a different fluid type.

Supplied in 1.0-litre containers. Standard handling precautions apply — keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames. Wear protective gloves and safety goggles during handling. If skin contact occurs, wash with soap and water. For eye contact, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Not recommended for use in radius indicator systems.
