Drill Pipe Wipers

Drill Pipe Wipers are heavy-duty oilfield consumable tools manufactured from a special tear-resistant, high-performance rubber compound designed to remove drilling fluids, mud, cuttings, and debris from the drill string during tripping operations on land rigs, offshore platforms, and workover rigs across the UAE, GCC, and wider MENA region.

Placed around the outside of the drill pipe or tubing at the rotary table, the wiper disc creates a continuous seal against the pipe OD as the string is pulled through during trip-out. This effectively strips oil-based mud (OBM), water-based mud (WBM), and synthetic-based mud (SBM) from the pipe surface — keeping the rig floor clean, reducing slip hazards for crew, preventing mud losses, and enabling safer pipe handling throughout the tripping sequence. The rubber compound is specifically formulated to maintain flexibility even in cold weather conditions and remains resistant to tearing and abrasion under the repeated mechanical contact of high-speed tripping operations.

Available in three configurations to suit all rotary table and master bushing setups:

Single Pipe Wiper — A symmetrical one-piece disc delivering multiple wiping action with more than two full turns of continuous wiping surface, ensuring complete gap-free contact around the entire pipe circumference with no unwiped streaks.

Flat Single Pipe Wiper (Type F) — A flat, low-profile one-piece disc especially designed for use on drilling and workover rigs for pulling drill pipe or tubing. Suitable for applications with limited vertical clearance above the master bushing.

Dual Split Pipe Wiper — Features a split design that allows fast, tool-free installation directly onto the pipe without the need to thread the pipe through the wiper — a critical advantage during active tripping operations. The dual split wiper is moulded with a heavy spring-steel reinforced ring embedded within the rubber to prevent collapse under load, maintain consistent radial sealing pressure against the pipe OD, and prevent any pieces from falling into the wellbore. The dual wiping lips are spaced to prevent mud caking while remaining thin enough not to interfere with the master bushing.

All wipers are designed for application to drill pipe where a solid master bushing is used, and are compatible with both water-based and oil-based drilling mud systems.

Available Sizes:

Size selection is based on the master bushing bore diameter of the rotary table — not the pipe OD. Red and black colour variants are available on selected sizes to support colour-coded rig floor inventory management.
