The Fiberglass Anti-Slip Stair Nosing & Strip is a heavy-duty R13-rated slip-resistance safety solution engineered for maximum personnel protection on industrial staircases, offshore platforms, oil and gas facilities, marine vessels, warehouses, and construction sites across the UAE, GCC, and wider MENA region.

Manufactured from a high-strength fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) base coated with high-grade epoxy vinyl ester resin, the stair nosing provides exceptional resistance to corrosion, chemicals, UV exposure, and moisture — making it ideally suited for the harsh desert heat, salt air, and hydrocarbon-contaminated environments common across offshore platforms in the Arabian Gulf, onshore oil and gas processing facilities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, and marine and port installations at Jebel Ali, Port Sultan Qaboos, and Hamad Port.

The surface features industrial-grade aluminium oxide anti-slip grit — available in fine, medium, and coarse grades — that maintains aggressive slip resistance even when the surface is wet, oily, or contaminated with drilling fluids or industrial chemicals. The R13 slip resistance rating (per DIN 51130 standard) is the highest classification for industrial anti-slip surfaces, confirming the product’s suitability for the most demanding occupational safety environments, including those governed by ADNOC, ARAMCO, and PDO HSE standards for offshore and industrial facility walkways and stairways.

The stair nosing profile is 100mm wide and 30mm deep with a 4mm wall thickness, providing a secure edge-wrap that protects the stair tread nosing from impact damage while delivering 360° anti-slip coverage across the step’s leading edge. Available in standard lengths of 720mm and 920mm, with a maximum production length of 3600mm and custom lengths available on request to suit any stair or platform configuration. Available in yellow and black — yellow being the preferred visibility colour for industrial and offshore safety marking under international HSE guidelines.

Supplied with a fixing kit including M6 x 50 bolts, washers, nuts, and SS304 saddle clips for secure, corrosion-resistant installation on both concrete stairs and steel grating steps.
